Sport & Fitness
At ACT we have a team of therapists who have a special interest in sports, athletes and fitness.
Sports Reflexology
ART, a reflexology treatment that is said to be the equivalent of three treatments at once. It is a very deep tissue technique, can be excruciatingly painful, the effects throughout your body will be as powerful as the treatment intense. ART balances the body from the inside physically, and is extremely effective in straightening out the skeletal system, conditions such as sciatica can be restored. A treatment that is highly recommended for serious athletes who want to be in tip-top condition.
Sports/Remedial Massage
Rolfing/Structural Integration
Re-aligning the body through deep manual intervention of the soft elastic tissue (connective tissues, tendons, ligaments) to encourage the release of stress patterns, training patterns and physical patterns frees you. Muscles are lengthened, space is restored. When the body is aligned in the gravitational field not only are physical symptoms relieved, but normal function is improved. Vastly. To rolf an entire body back to being gravitationally integrated takes ten sessions with 3 - 4 weeks gaps in between each session.
Structural Assessment and Deep Tissue Massage
Extended massage techniques, following MTI training, IFPA training these therapists have been taught structural Osteopathic massage techniques, how to assess and realign the skeletal system through massage. You will walk away with a level pelvis, straight shoulders, and free neck, and understanding why you always leant on one leg more than the other, with exercises to prevent you from slipping back into old habits.
