Who Am I? What Do I Do?
I have been practicing massage therapy professionally since 2003. I have practiced as a mobile therapist and held injury clinics at local rugby clubs. I have taught fitness classes and personal training since 2005. It was during my personal training course that my passion for Nutrition was really ignited; I have completed my Nutritional Therapy Diploma and feel this has given me a unique set of tools to guide people to improve their health and fitness.
N.E.C.T.A.R. Therapies (Nutrition, Exercise, Complementary Therapies and Recovery) is based on the belief that any health issues are best dealt with holistically. After a full consultation, I use the information to help you implement changes that you find manageable, to improve your health or fitness, using food, relaxation and exercise.
Nutrition may help with a wide variety of problems such as bloating, Candida, constipation, PMS, low mood, lethargy and chronic tiredness, insomnia, inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and Crohns’ disease, skin conditions and many others.
Exercise has many benefits and when combined with good nutrition may help prevent or improve diabetes and weight problems, reduce high cholesterol levels and the incidence of heart problems, strokes and osteoporosis.
Relaxation in the form of massage has well documented benefits but when combined with good nutrition and regular exercise tailored to your personal preferences and needs, may provide you with the tools to improve your sense of well being.
