Who Am I? What Do I Do?
My story started a few years ago. I was well and truly stuck in a loveless marriage and felt isolated, alone and my confidence had disappeared. My life changed after reading one book – “Bridget Jones’ Diary”. Not what you would ordinarily classify as a self-help book, but it transformed my life! I recalled my own life as a singleton, enjoying nights in with friends, putting the world to rights and pining after my own Mark Darcy character so that my life would be complete. Bridget’s life wasn’t perfect – but at least she was living a life.
So I started making small changes, wearing lipstick and changing my regulation baggy grey tracksuit bottoms and mens’ jumpers to jeans and brightly coloured t-shirts. The most pivotal moment for me was the “Is this IT?” moment I had and I knew I would have to make some real, life changing action for my life to be better.
The relationship breakdown was traumatic, but through it all I finally saw a future for myself. I invested in myself and spent a great deal of time learning about myself and what really made me happy.
I read. I painted. I meditated. I laughed. I cried. I healed. I grew.
Part of my better life included returning to work and whilst I enjoyed my job, it wasn’t giving me the sense of satisfaction and fulfilment I wanted. Then I found life coaching! When I qualified as a life coach with the Associated Stress Consultants in 2008, I set up my own coaching practice and since then have been working with women to lead their own better, brighter lives.
For me, life coaching is one of the most rewarding and inspirational careers you can have. I absolutely love it, as it allows me to combine all my interests, skills and experience – and I get to meet some amazing women every day!
As well as the women I have coached, I am living proof that we are all capable of making the changes we need to lead the better, brighter lives we want.

My coaching style
As a life coach, my only aim is to ensure the women I coach reach and realise their goals. I care about my clients and am fully committed to your success. I wholeheartedly believe that you have the ability to achieve your goals and will always be there to offer my support and encouragement.

Techniques I use
I work holistically, which means I look at your life as a whole. Where appropriate, I incorporate different techniques such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), relaxation, meditation and affirmations. Not only have these tools had an amazing effect on my life, but those of my clients too!
My coaching techniques help you to understand what makes you “tick” and together we identify your values – the cornerstone of the coaching process, release the negative beliefs holding you back, define the goals you REALLY want and create an action plan to achieve them.
How coaching with me works
I offer all women the opportunity to experience coaching for themselves with the New Beginning introductory session. This 90 minute session gives you a chance to find out what coaching is all about, get a feel for the coaching experience, identify areas of your life that need some work as well as set out three priority goals that will make a big, positive difference to your life.
After this introductory session, it is entirely up to you to decide if coaching is right for you. There is no obligation to continue and certainly no hard sell, as I only work with women who are 100% committed and ready to take action and make positive changes to their lives.
