Who am I? What do I do?
I have been working as a therapist for over 30 years. In that time I have developed expertise in both psychological and body-based ways of working. I found that the use of one or more of the therapies of Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Medical Acupuncture, Qigong or Mindfulness, can be useful to help a broad range of physical and psychological difficulties.
If the body-mind system has become out of balance, then the above therapies offer a great way of restoring equilibrium and helping the natural homeostatic impulses to reach their full potential. This process applies to the working of injured muscle tissue as much as to nervous system functioning and psychological balance.
I try to practise what I preach and put time aside for mindfulness meditation. Like most people, my mind still prefers to wander all over the place, but at least I catch it and bring it back, sometimes!
Qigong:
The principles of Qigong can be applied as an individual therapy.
I carry out an assessment of your individual history and present difficulties. This leads to a tailor-made Qigong Therapy Programme, individually designed to meet your needs.
The therapy programme may include one or more of the following:
Individual Qigong Exercises
Individual Meditations or Breathing Exercises
Qigong Healing/Craniosacral
Therapy Acupressure Strategies
Individual Qigong Therapy sessions typically last for 50 minutes.
The fee is £50 per session.
My inspiration and background in Qigong is described more fully on my website: www.qigongcardiff.co.uk
